Gambling Throughout History...
In existance throughout the ages, gambling of one form or another has been present within the culture of most human civilizations. In fact, data collected during the last century indicates that gambling has taken place within most of the greatest societies to have ever existed through out history.
History of Blackjack and The History of Poker...
The gambling games of Blackjack and Poker originally began with the practice of shuffling paper money in China, back as far as 900 A.D. This shuffling of paper money eventually evolved into card playing, and it was during the Mameluke Empire this card playing was brought to Europe.
The Mameluke people were followers of Islam and did not have decorate their playing cards with human forms as such. Instead, they were adorned their playing cards with intricate designs similar to those woven into carpets of the day.
It wasn't until playing cards made their way to Italy and Spain, that card makers began distinguishing them with the royal ranks of men who held power in the Royal Court.
The Queen found on today's playing cards did not appear on the scene until the 1500's. That is when playing cards arrived in France, where they replaced one of the male cards with a female figure representing their Queen. It was this pack of playing cards, known as the "French Pack", that served as the prototype of the 52 card deck of today.

History of Roulette...
Like Poker and Blackjack, the History of Roulette is interesting as well. The name Roulette originated in France, and refers to a "small wheel". It was in 1842 that the gambling game of Roulette was modernized into the game we know today by Francois and Louis Blanc. This was the Single 0" game of Roulette. Around the same time, Roulette was brought to America, and athe "Double 0" added, thus dstinguishing it from the European version of Roulette.

The modern day Gambling Casino of today has come a long way since its humble beginnings.
